Should I ask her out?

ok ill try and make this short and simple cause i gotta have dinner. Theres a girl at my school who is the most beautiful of the grade. Shes not that bitchy type either however she does have many friends. Anyway it all started on my geography excursion ( at least this is when i noticed). We went to our local dam in sydney which was ofcourse very boring. anyway i actually listened to my mum and did the work given it was like a sheet. Im not a nerd and the only reason i like school is to socialise with friends and PE lol. So I we were sitting on the wall not listening really to what they were saying. I decided to sit next to her cause there was a gap between people. So I sat down and she asked me if she could copy my work. I really didnt care ofcourse. So im like "Yeah sure". When she was finished she said thankyou. Im quite shy but especially around girls. Im ok around guys ofcourse. I hardly ever talk to girls unless i have to. when she said thankyou i went into shy mode and didnt say anything. all i did was smile and turn away. So like when we got up again she said thankyou once more incase i didnt here. Now ofcourse i really am an idiot all i did was smile again. Omg lol why did I do that lol. Anyway the question that has puzzled me since then (this started monday) was that all that day i kept turning to look at her and as i looked she was staring at me. It wasnt a one off thing either. She stared more on tuesday and as i looked she exchanged words to her friend. So today been wednesday i kinda new this could be my chance. She would always get to school early before anyone else in our group and I would have tennis practise in the mornings. Ofcourse me been shy i would just walk away into the library and wait usually. But today i tried something new. I new her favourite movie was the parent trap and i watched that a couple of days earlier so i decided to try and get the convo going. But there was this other guy there aswell and I couldnt do it either cause i was shy. We had a water fight though and it was great fun. it continued lunch aswell. During this time she stared a couple more times at me. It was fun because we were getting soaked but then we decided to get water and wet them ofcourse. So we all got bottles full and got them. They didnt mind us wetting them it was funny. anyway it ended up getting ruined cause someone got hurt.

Ive always had an on and off crush on her but now i want to ask her out. First i need the courage but im sure i can ask her. But i dont want to be an idiot and get regected so is there a possibility she likes me too or is this whole thing a coincidence. My biggest problem is that ofcourse she is beautiful and i stand little chance unless she sees me differently. Ive been told many times im hot so i guess im quite good looking. I dont have her in any classes which is annoying so i dont no her to well. Im only 14 if this helps

If i were to ask her out it would be because i find her attractive and I definately want to get to no her. Im not a guy who would use her to become cool.
