There's this shop in my town its the only decent place to work and they only employ people the manager knows....whick totally sucks...they don't even give other people a chance...do you think its fair?

It is a sensible thing to do, especially if the shop is located in a troublespot area of town.

ouch....thats kinda not fair in a way but i guess the manager has his reasons for doing that.....

No I think that is way unfair. People should be offered chances, not just "people I know" crap. But ultimately I guess it is the manager's decision :-/

its not unethical :S

Its a very reasonable thing to do.
i applied for a job at a local pub and they are keeping it with family and friends, which i totally respect.
