Hey everyone i'm new here and also new at the whole high school game. It is seriously so overwhelming and there is so much pressure. I get lost everytime i try to find my next class, i already have one of my gym teachers on my bad side and it is so hard to meet people. Literally everyone says its the best time of your life but right now it couldn't get any worse. I miss Junior High so much and wish i could go back, I don't think that i'll ever find a boyfriend in high school cause their all out of my league and i just wish that it gets better. All my friends keep on meeting ppl and for some reason i can't. I'm shy but i mean i'm approachable. Its just so hard right now and i was wondering Does it get any better? (hopefully it does else i'm being homeschooled lol :P)

I don't quite understand what year 'high school' is. Is it like secondary school, from year 7 until year 11 or sixth form?

Are you on the school system of having a middle school? So it would be like us going to a secondary school, but having gone to a school inbetween primary and year 9.. I think..

But when I started at our school system's high school, I was only.. 11? And it was tough going then too. I remember feeling lost and confused and scared all at once. I wasn't sure which classes were where in the school and all that. But gradually I made friends with people in my form, and I got used to the size of the school and the rooms and where my classes were. I'm on my 4th year of being at the school now and I know my way around it well, I could wander round with my eyes closed, lol. I think it just takes time to get used to everything and meet new people in your lessons and who are friends with friends and things like that.

And the thing about boyfriends.. You don't have to meet a boy at school who you like, But you never know, once you start making new friends, you might meet someone who likes you and you like back :)

hmmm i think i kno what you mean about the middle school thing ya it would be like that. First elementary than middle school (7-9) and then high school (10-12) Wow 11!! that is so young how did you survive lol?? ya hopefully things will start to click and one day i'll maybe go around the school with my eyes closed lol hopefully i'll meet some guys who knows but i'll keep you posted lol :)

Alright guys wish me luck at high school tomorrow i get to find out if i made it into this singing group we have at our school!! And wish me luck that i don't get lost again tomorrow :(

Trust me.

It gets soo much better. I'm in my Senior Year, and I adore it. I wouldn't go back to Junior High if you paid me.

You have so much more freedom, and once you learn the layout of the school, things are a breeze. You meet alot of really cool people, and it's just an awesome experiance.

...I thought people in Canada started high school alot younger than 15...

My friend Lazlo is 16 and a senior....Hrm. Maybe it was just his provence. I dunno.


ANYWAY- It's not that bad once you're used to it. Just relax, don't worry about fitting in, and focus on your education and finding yourself.

Highschool is devious...the best thing to do is find a group of freinds that meet your interest and stick with them.

Dont worry, Iv never had a boyfriend, but things are looking up for me.
And its all coz i stepped out of the box, and went to places i could meet new people and socialise. Now I almost have someone. hehe.
But you see, high school isnt all that bad if you just focus on the things you enjoy, rather than the things you dont like. I hate pe, and some lessons i absolutely dread. But I just look forward to fun times coming soon, and it gets me through the lesson. And if you concentrate hard on your work, the lessons dont seem to drag on, and you dont have to worry about bad grades or detention if you work hard. =)
