What are some of the most important reasons why you use the Internet? Keeping in touch with people and research.

Do you use mySpace and YouTube as part of your web presence? Are they important to you as a way of communicating through the internet? or other ways? I use both. They are moderately important though my life wouldn't stop if i couldn't log on.

Yes. I have family worldwide who i don't get the opportunity to see every frequently so video conferencing if the next best thing. I am safety conscious and wouldn't use it with anybody i do not know.If you don't mind me saying, i don't think the format of your questions are very good. Avoid using double-barralled questions. It will just be harder for you when it comes to coding and quantifying data. All the best.

1)Reasons why I use the internet: Mainly entertainment, some research, but mostly keeping contact with friends, and making new online ones.

2)Yes, MySpace and forums, Myspace is a great way to meet new people and just keep updated on friends, sometimes family. Although I realize there are hazards involed, I keep myself well covered I think.

3) I do use instant messaging, when theres nothing better to do, why not just meet new people and chat without the strain of having to meet in person or talk on phone, you have more control over who you want to communicate with over IM, and can talk many more friends than you could on a regular face-to-face basis.

4) I've used video yes, for one, it's more hi-tech I think I enjoy being able to see the person I'm speaking with. I beleive it is difficult to determine the true mood that the other person is in based solely on text, seeing their facial expressions helps make communication clearer and more enjoyable.

1) Iuse the internet to read my email and keep in contact with my family overseas, i use it for homeowrk aswell.
2) I use you tube but not realy for communicatng i use bebo not myspace.
3) I use instant messaging because i like talking to people that i usually couldn't keep a good convo up with face to face.
4) I use webcam with some of my mates, its ok but a bit blury not realy any point f you can't see me aswell !!

What are some of the most important reasons why you use the Internet?A lot of reasons. I am homeschooled so it is a good way to keep in touch with old friends and to meet new people.
I also love to keep up with the styles and everything, since I am a model, but never get out.

Unfortunately it is somewhat important when it comes to communicating. It has Email, Instant Messenger, and all those features. It's an amazing (yet dangerous and risky) way to network.

What are some of the most important reasons why you do / don't use instant messaging?I use instant messaging pretty much for when I get bored or when I need to talk to a photographer. For some reason it just seems a lot easier for me to talk over AIM then it is to talk over the phone. A lot of wierdos come and go through. You win some you lose some

Have you ever used video within instant messaging to stay in touch? If so, explain what you thought of it, or why you don’t use it.No I dont really trust anyone to get on the webcam. Some people claim that they are photographers and they say "Do you have a webcam?" and then once they get the girl on they start asking them to strip and things. Well I mean, scammers and perverts.

What are some of the most important reasons why you use the Internet?I use the internet mainly for entertainment. I regularly listen to music, stream videos and play games. Also, it's good because the world is your oyster basically. If I'm intrigued by anything, I can immediately find it out.

Do you use mySpace and YouTube as part of your web presence? Are they important to you as a way of communicating through the internet? or other ways?I use MySpace to keep in touch with people from school that I wouldn't really chat to on MSN. I only have people on MSN that I talk to a lot. Also, MySpace is yet another way of expressing myself fully. I don't upload videos on YouTube, but I watch videos on there regularly.

What are some of the most important reasons why you do / don't use instant messaging?I use MSN to keep in touch with friends without a cost. Also, because I'm in a long distance relationship, it allows me to communicate with my boyfriend regularly free of charge. However, I don't give out my email address to many people, due to the amount of fake people around.

Have you ever used video within instant messaging to stay in touch? If so, explain what you thought of it, or why you don’t use it.I love using webcams to people I love and trust. It allows us both to be able to see the reactions of our conversation immediately and therefore interact more. It allows me to see my boyfriend regularly, and generally brings more entertainment into the conversation.

What are some of the most important reasons why you use the Internet?I use it because I get a lot of projects and the internet has everything, it's better then flipping through a book. I also use it for fun, such as going on web sites like these, talking to friends on MSN. Most of the time i'm using it to just talk to friends.

Yeah they both are a way of communicating through the internet because you could talk to other people and learn new things.

What are some of the most important reasons why you do / don't use instant messaging?Im not going to lie, I use it to find out the main scoop and catch up on gossip. I also find it better then using the phone because unlike the phone you could talk to as many people at once.
