Best friend, Different schools

My best friend and i went to the same elementary and junior highs and this is our first year of high school and he changed schools for a different program. We both miss each other very much and dont really fit in at our new schools. I was wondering if I should switch next year so we can hang togheter, as it is the same district so it shouldn't be that hard.

Its hard when friends are at different schools. Still miss a few mates who went on to different colleges here.

Don't move schools just because your friend has. As much as friends are important school is there because of education. Changing schools mid year can throw you somewhat.

I left all my friends on the opposite side of the world!

I left my best friends, my family and others in england and left for Australia

i had 6 weeks before i started australian school

those 6 weeks was the hardest six weeks ever! to get used to my surroundings and start a different school without knowing one person.

ill admit i cried before i went to school...first time i cried in a while..and still is!
but everyone welcomed me to the school and its going good now

i still keep in touch to my closest mates and i might be going back for the first time sometime this year

It is hard but I dont think that you should move schools, do you really not fit in, or are you not trying. Like, if you dont want to fit in then you wont, especially if you want to be somewhere else. If you are near each other, you can still see eachother, I men it is not asif you are in two different countries. Good Luck what ever you do, and I hope you can fit into your new school.

Keep your options open and make the best out of it. Don't assume that you're going to switch schools next year, because then you might miss out on making some killer new friends where you are now!

You still see each other don't you, i'm sure you will both make some new friends, i am still friends with people i went to school with and we left school over 18 months ago, so i'm sure you will get through this and make new friends while still keepin the old friend

you should stay where you are, its best for your education not to switch
