How to be romantic?

Hi, im a guy, 20 years old and at university, my gf works back home and we have the whole long distance thang going on. the trouble is im a little stuck for romantic ideas, as i only have my tiny uni room. what can i do in there!!lol and esp with valentines coming up, i was just after a few pointers of anything i could do. and also, just a more general point aboiut romance- what exactly is it that girls(in general) find romantic. i sound a bit of a freak asking this, im not entirely without a clue, but certainly no ladies man. lolz.

Alone times good - eg dont take her down the pub with your mates.

Original stuff, make sure it shows how much you care. Doesnt really have to be expensive, just treat her like a princess.
