Well what do you know about it, I am really on the borderline of either that or a Playstation 3, which I might say they are still upgrading, so it will probably be better (I think PS have a better game range)

    Here are some features compared:

    CPU And Processors:
    X-Box 360:
    3 Symetrical Processers running at 3.2Ghz (9.6Ghz)
    1MB L2 Cache
    PS3:
    1 Processer running at 3.2Ghz
    512Kb L2 Cache
    Winner: X-Box 360
The X-box 360 has both a bigger processing speed and a bigger cache which means more power, technically.

The X-Box 360 and the PS3's Graphics Cards match the same really

    Memory:
    X-Box 360:
    512MB @ 700mhz GDDR3 RAM
    PS3:
    256MB @ 700mhz GDDR3 RAM
    Winner: X-box 360
The X-Box 360 has double the memory of the PS3 meaning it can handle more tasks at the same time, and can handle better graphics than the PS3

    System Floating-Point Performance:
    X-Box 360:
    1 Teraflop
    PS3:
    2 Teraflops
    Winner: PS3
Memory overall performance in teraflops makes the PS3 the winner in this catergory

    Storage:
    X-Box 360:
Detachable and Upgradeable 20GB Hard drive
    PS3:
    Detachable HDD Slot x1
    Winner: X-Box 360
Unfortunately, the PS3 does not come with a Hard Drive jsut a slot where you can add one, which means the X-box 360 has taken this, plus the XB's HD can be upgraded as well as the ability of memory cards.

    I/O:
    X-Box 360
Support for up to 4 wireless controllers
    Three USB 2.0 Ports
    Two Memory card slots
    PS3:
    Six USB 2.0 Ports
    Memory Stick Standard/Pro x1
    SD Standard/Mini x1
Compact Flash Cards (Type I,II) x1
    Winner: PS3
The PS3 had this in the bag as soon as it had 6 USB ports, but the other types of connection allow a lot more potential with connectivity which is why this ones goes to the PS3

    X-Box 360 - 3
    PS3 - 2

Well looks like the X-box 360 has this one from what I have heard about it but there are other features that the PS3 may have that will corner the market
But you can decide on what you'd rather have based on the results I have shown you
Sorry for the long post but you asked

I don't think that people base there opinions on what to get just on facts like that even if they should. A majority of people don't even understand that stuff and would pick the one with the better small features and looks, like the controller, howmany players can play, and whether or not you must buy an extra package to use it as a DVD player. And even things such as the realese thing on the current cords . . .
that if that comes out the whole controller doesnt, and because it easily comes out it won't brake. That is what most people base their decision on

Hey!! One of my best mates has an xBox 360!! He got it the week it came out and it's siiicckk!! It's crazy man...If you pay a bit extra you can have the controllers wireless and you can like play from another room. It's craZiness..And you can hook up your iPod and listen to music on it while you play. The graphics aren't too bad as well..not much different to the original xBox but still good. Oh, and I find that the controllers for the xBox 360 are way better and easier to control compared to the first xBox...

I reckon for those of you who are contemplating whether you should get it or not..stop and get it now!!!
