there is a guy in the year above me who i have just got to know. i have known him for a while now and have feelings for him. i told him this and he said he felt the same but we both agreed a relationship wouldnt work as my friend likes him as well. he texts me and calls me his "lovergirl" but i dont know if he really feels the same of if he is just jokin around. one of my friends thinks he genuinely likes me but another disagrees. please reply and give me your thoughts!!

You know there is only one way to know for sure, and that is to ask him directly, ask him if he likes you, and then whatever your answer, you have to decide for yourself if you believe him. If you do all well and good, if you don't, don't bother with him, people who say they like you, and who don't really, only want you for superficial reasons are not worth it. I have experience in that area. It's up to you, your friends aren't you, and much as they may want to help, you have to decide for yourself. Because in the end, it's what you believe that counts.

Yeah, you need to hear it from him. Not anyone else, but from the person who is directly involved in it all. Your friends might be telling you what they want you to hear or they might be twisting it slightly, so it is better for them rather than you.

see thats the onli problem we dont really get 2 tlk much in skool cos hes the year above me. and also cos my m8 fancies him and she would be really jealous if she saw us talkin. hes really shy when he sees me bt a few weeks ago we went out a big gang of us and he was himself with me.

Call him up then or something. Just get him on his own and sit with him and talk or phone him when he is on his own, not with friends.

Shyness is easy to get past. You have nothing to be worried about, you just need to talk to him somehow. And your friend has no reason to be jealous, if she's your friend then surely she should have no problem with you talking to this guy. It's not like you're going to jump on him and have sex or something. She has no reason to be jealous. So go for it. You've got nothing to lose but a few minutes of your time.

yeh i agree completely with what your sayin! tho she did have a fight with me a few days ago about it all, she called me a man stealer! bt he has already told me he has no interest with her as more than a friend! she just doesnt see that

She's not much of a friend if she calls you names over having him as a friend, I mean, surely if she likes him so much she would have asked him out. She needs to let it go, it's not your fault you like him, she just needs to deal with the fact that you are so far just friends with the guy she likes. If she can't do that then she isn't really worth it, she should trust you as a friend.

see she has already asked him out and he said no. the more i talk about it the more i feel bad for liking him and going behind her back like this, bt she doesnt know how much i like him she finks i like him as a friend. but shes bound to think otherwise or else she wouldnt have started that row with me for nothing!

Yeah, well, is she is your friend, she will stand by you, and understand, it's not your fault he doesn't like her, you can't help liking him, she will stand by yor choice if she's any kind of good friend, she will understand.

the only way you can be truly sure if he likes you is if you ask him face to face, get him to look right at you and ask him. Im sure he does, your oher friend may just be jelous. gd luk!

Like everyone else says, your friends cant say whether he likes you or not, only he can.
You just need to ask him straight out that is the only way, its seems like you already have a good relationship with him as you mentioned him texting and ringing you.

Of course she will freak on you, all girls act like that and I am sure the ladies on here will back me up on that, but you got to do what you want, your friend will get over it in the end and everything will be great!

Once she finds someone else to like she will soon get over it...
it doesnt take long for a girl to get over someone if they realise the person doesnt want her! She might not talk to you....i'd give it 2 days then it will be like nothing ever happened!

I dunno I don't think all girls act like that. I mean I know a lot of girls who don't freak out about their friends going out with someone they like, I think some girls are capable of being happy for their friends rather than bitter about something like that.
