Vegetarian/vegan
I consider myself to be a strict vegetarian and almost-vegan. I don't drink milk, I drink soy milk (I don't really like either, but I need the calcium). I don't eat eggs or gelatin as well..
My opinions on PETA are kind of scattered.

Re: Vegetarian/vegan
Wow, I could not do that. Well done. Why do you do it? Is it because you feel sorry for the animals or somethign along those lines?
I know a few people who are vegans but only because they think its the 'right' thing to do and want to be different to all of their friends.
I do sometimes fele a little sorry for the animals when eating my food but I do not actually have meat all that often these days anyway, I am more of a Food Junkie, eating all sorts of crap that is not really good for me.

Re: Vegetarian/vegan
I am a vegetarian because I loved animals so much when I was younger that I din't think it was fair to eat them.
I eat eggs and cheese and milk because it doesn't physically hurt the animal, that is what hey produce like women produce milk, it doesn't hurt. But meat is killing and I don't believe that to be right.
There, my views. I have been a veggie for about 5-6 years and I am healthy so it's all good

Re: Vegetarian/vegan
For every animal you don't eat, I'm going to eat three.

Nor does a 12-gauge to the head. Instant death, no pain. Lots of nutrients.

Re: Vegetarian/vegan
Oh well that's perfectly alright then. I mean you wouldn't mind if I came in and stole your eggs (notice the similarity?) and ate them? I'm sure that would make you feel good.

Re: Vegetarian/vegan
I have a vegetarian friend and we're pretty mean to him,we had this luncheon thing for our news network at school and we had olive garden, we just were like, {his name here} you know they put meat in that salad, right?
And my other friend keeps forgetting that he's a vegetarian at lunch and is like, "{his name here}, want my last chicken nugget? I'm full"

Re: Vegetarian/vegan
Vegetarions who dont eat meat cos they dont think its fair on animals are odd. I think there a bit childish if im being honest.

Re: Vegetarian/vegan
Why is it childish?
Is it childish people don't believe in cannibalism and murdering humans?
No. It's just the same thing.
I was a vegetarian at one point but I couldn't do it. I belive that if nobody ate meat then the world would be overrun with them and eventually they would go extinct because farmers would have no need for some animals and they wouldn't be able to live in the wild anyway because they would have no means of being able to live, as the world has evolved in a way they wouldnt be able to.
Especially if the world suddenly became vegetarians, as the animals have evolved and become dependant on humans basically.
though the reason i became vegetarian is because I saw how inhumanely a lot of animals are killed and how some live, and its not nice.
Also, not everyone is going to stop eating meat, and they aren't going to kill any less animals than they would if i ate meat. So i did myself a favour basically, as I was helping nobody or no animals. And I need the protein, I'm skinny enough as it is. I was pretty much living off cheese.Last edited by *Jess* : January 8th '06 at 08:44 PM

Re: Vegetarian/vegan
Oh yeah, and I hate PETA.
Just because they are vegetarians doesn't give them the right to force it on others. They are no better or have no more morals than the rest of us, they just have different morals and different beliefs. It doesnt mean its right. We don't force meat eating on them do we?
I nearly cried when I saw some of the videos on their website. If they didn't show them, I would remain blissfully clueless.
And also, I'm SURE with some of the things they use the worst examples and stereotype everything with it, like KFC, I'm sure not all the animals are killed in the way they depicted on their videos.
Though I do belive thats wrong the way they killed them, and they should kill them humanely, but they don't need to force it on other people.Property of George =D

Re: Vegetarian/vegan
thats possibly the worst argument iv ever heard. Killing a person is completely different to killing animals, look some chickens live to be eaten, you vegetarions are stopping there dream!

Re: Vegetarian/vegan
Well how do we know we dont live to be eaten? There isnt a rule book.
Pearson wrote:
you vegetarians?
since when was i a vegetarian. once i was, but i realised it was silly and i didnt carry on.
and that has to be the worst argument iv ever heard too.
Also, I didn't mean that its the same to kill a human as to kill a chicken, im just statiing that whereas some people believe some things, others believe other things. and we dont know for sure who is right, do we?
Its not childish to believe things like...believe a football team you support are the best, so believing in a more serious matter definitely isnt childish.Property of George =D

If your refering to me, I dont belive they are the best. You defiantly are the wildest debator iv ever known. 'How do you know we dont live to be eaten, there isnt a rule book' lmao quality. So let me get this straight, your saying canabalism's ok, because there isnt a rule book?

Re: Vegetarian/vegan
no, im not saying cannibalism is ok, but its my opinion. the rule book thing was a metaphor, I was basically saying there is no way to know whether it is supposed to happen or it is wrong.
and in the football thing, i wasnt referring to you, i was referring to people who believe their football team is best.Property of George =D
