Default Hamas may just destroy the world....

Now that Hamas ( a militant group who opposed the withdrawal from Israel) have been elected as government in Palestinian, with the Israeli government non negotiating with militant groups and Hamas sworn not to back down a conflict is imminent. How does this effect the west? Nukes?

President Bush, who said in 2003 that "in order for there to be peace, Hamas must be dismantled"

Now if they run a country, that country has to be dismantled as well. So the west would be keep to reinforce Israel in this situation.

If the war between Israel & Palestinian gets to the level where a nuke is dropped were in big trouble, If either are nuked Iran will join in and if they are aiming at civilian targets the west will attack Iran, which will in turn set Syria off as well. In the end it will be the middle east vs. the west. I know this seems a lot but its kinda like if the IRA were voted in as the government of Ireland.... but worse.

hiyah, a pretty old topic i know, but here is my take on the matter anyhow:

I do not believe Hamas is out to destroy the world. For someone who only takes reports made by the BBC, CNN, SKY and all the other mainstream western news outlets, you aren't seeing the bigger picture. Words have a big affect on people. So much for the impartiality of the BBC, when it is instructed by the broadcasting watchdog to replace 'palestinian resistant fighters' with 'militants', yet when there is an Israeli army bombardment against a village where they SUSPECT a 'terrorist' is seeking refuge, no mention is made of the murder of innocent people, because that is what it really is. You can't just go into a village and kill anyone who is moving without first being absolutely sure they are the guilty party. You can't target civilians, not even in a warzone!

To many, Hamas is seen as an organisation fighting for the rights of its people, though granted all their actions can never be justified, such as suicide bombings on a public bus or restuarant. Hamas has said that it is willing to come back to the negociating table, and the Western super powers who pride themselves so highly on bringing democracy to all lands, should accept the choice the palestinian people have made. This could be the turning point in history, where some sort of truce can be reached though personally, i do not think that the two states will ever exist side by side in harmony.

People harp on about Israel's right to exist, conviently over looking their illegal occupation of Palestine. I agree, Israel DOES have a right to exist, within its own borders, meaning out of Palestinian terrority- the borders set out by the UN back in '67.

America and Britain have been allies of Israel for a very long time, and whatever Israel opposes, they oppose, even if this means condoning murders of innocent civilians. They all have blood on their hands, and many would see America as a greater risk to world risk as opposed to a group of people armed with rifles.

It seems as though some people will never learn from history, and those are the ones who are doomed to repeat it.

This is my area of expertise, so I'd be glad to field any questions pertaining to the subject.

That said, I believe people have a gross misperception of the reality of the situation in the Middle East. The crap Clueless spews perfectly showcases the general naivete of many Westerners who subconsciously, or in many cases consciously, villanize Israel and its people, siding with the Islamic radicals who call themselves Palestinians.

Prior to the Six Day War, which like the other wars Israel has been forced into, was a product of anti-Israel aggression on the part of their Jew-hating neighbors, Israel had an inadequate landmass, in large part due to a UN partition, which had ignored a much more judicious and logical land allotment made by the League of Nations in the 1920's. Land for a Palestinian state had been set aside, but their greedy Arab neighbors (Egypt and Jordan) were all too happy to annex the land. Nobody complained, as a Palestinian people had never existed and the land remained in Arab hands. Then, the land was lost to Israel in a war it was forced to fight in its own defense. Only then were there cries for a Palestinian state. Why? Because it was yet another instance of antisemitism. Walid Shoebat, an admitted former Palestinian terrorist, best known for having asked, “Why is it that on June 4th 1967 I was a Jordanian and overnight I became a Palestinian?”, bravely asserted that, “the occupation is in the minds of Children who are taught hatred.” More importantly, the reformed terrorist said, “The Israeli Arab Conflict is not about geography but about Jew hatred; Throughout the Islamic as well as Christendom's history Jews have been persecuted, the persecution of Israel is just the same as the old antisemitism.” This is well supported by a number of sources, though the fact that the aforementioned quotes come from a reformed Palestinian terrorist, who himself descends from a line of murderers, helps to reinforce how apparent it ought to be that Israel and its people are the ones who have been wrong this whole time.

Now, as to Hamas entering the government of the PA, it is ultimately irrelevant. The past leadership also ran its own terrorist organization. The only things which have changed are the colors of the ruling flag and the venom in the public rhetoric. In essence, they remain no worse than the terrorist scum who rules before them. Since that fact is lost on the masses, it should have galvanized a shift to the right in the recent Israeli elections. While that failed to occur, surely it attributed to the voter apathy which helped to diminish the strength of Kadima, thus ultimately hindering their ability to implement self-destructive policies in regards to the current situation therein.
Driven off of the board due to the evils of Islam and efforts to express my voicing of said evils.
