Re: The Star, Parkour Hardcore Page 2
we didn't get page 2, we got page 3!

the kong and speed vault look sweet, shane kong did look a little funny though.
Shame about the group photo, it could have been a little bigger, you can't really see us that well.
as long as it gets more people coming to jams, thats all that really matters!
How are you feeling after saturday Greg
Should be better this saturday coz we should be going on more runs or at least i am, im not staying in the same place drilling all day

Re: The Star, Parkour Hardcore Page 2
I was further along in my kong than Danny was in his. I always coem out of them like that and plus it looks different which is good for the paper!

Exactly, mien are more flashy and I find them easier to do than Bens.

Everyone does things differently, take pouring milk for example. I may hold the carton ina different manner to that of my brother. - Not that that has any relation to parkour but you get what I mean.
And Ben, you actually made a paint userbar! :/

Re: The Sheffield Star, Parkour Hardcore Page 3
the way Shanes does Dash vault feels and looks alot better, except there not as easy on the hands, but with bens method its a little more accurate and you can't deny that Shane, look what you did on the odeon...twice! lmao, that was awesome

That was when I first started doing them like that! Just went into them without much practise.

i could see that coming!!

as i was saying, we do them in different ways, we use them for different things; i just like to use the dash as a simple way to clear a smallish or largish (or pretty high wall from a small bench in manchester
) and i know i can rely on my dash to get over most objects i come across that i see myself dash over, i also tend to find them simple to manoevre, require minimal effort and feel good, and i get a good run out of it, they go well into runs too.
whereas shane uses his to try to get distance on a vault (which seems strange as it is only natural to kong to get distance, and dashes are not meant for distances) and he puts his legs and arse in a different position in relation to the wall as me, and tends to hurt himself a lot more often. lol only joking
the video of the dashes at hallam on my phone seem to show that yours was a louder landing than mine, and i noticed that once you have cleared the wall you seem to slam your feet down rather unnecessarily, this may be part of your technique, and i knwo you have your reasons, but as i say, we use them in different run situations, so we can't really compare them.
that's kind of worrying...

You mean like the 2 times at the odeon? Now I dont feel my hands touch the walls!
the way you do them ben just looks pathetic and feel pathetic to me, i'm not insulting your dash vault, you have a good dash vault.
i just mean compaired to the other method, whenever i do dash vaults the other way, i never feel or hear them slam and make noise.
i'm curious have you even tried to dash this way ben?
I admin the none flashy method has its uses, i can get over higher walls with it and im confident enough with them to dash rails, but i've only just started using the other method, so i'm not used to it yet.
you have to bring you legs down faster because of the fact your legs are higher and you will end up on your ass otherwise. I personally think this method feels alot better and thats all that really matters to me, it looks better to, so thats a bonus
