New TFRule and other announcement.
In light of recent events, I am initiating a new rule, with no debate.
Rule 14; No member of TF may be considered for an Administrator position until they have been an active (defined as a minimum 20 posts a week average) member for a minimum of 18 months.
Edit: - The status of this rule has been changed to Temporary, pending review.
We are also bringing forward plans to create a applicatory process, to replace the hand-picking that happens now. This is to encourage people to be chosen for the skills they have that may benefit TF, as opposed to how many posts they make. The exception to the application process is with Administrator positions. I reserve the right (on behalf of the Administrator Team) to choose who we feel is the right person for the job, assuming they fit the above criteria.Last edited by God. : December 3rd '07 at 06:06 PM

Fair enough, I completely agree, seems a great way of developing the way the site is run.
Roughly 1560 posts then. (18 months equals roughly 78 weeks).Last edited by Leon : December 1st '07 at 06:50 PM Reason: Corrected maths.

Re: New TFRule and other announcement.
Don't get ahead of yourself Leon, that idea was up for discussion before you mentioned it, as it was an obvious move from my initial rule, due to be phased in. Nothing is anything until we meet, hence us hosting the meeting in the first place, and hence the status being changed.

Re: New TFRule and other announcement.
I think the team is fine for the moment anyhows. I do get the point though

Not sure if thsi ahs been mentioned before but if I think if someone has been a mod of some description and says they want to step down, that their decision should be final and no more mod positions considered for a while.
