KFC: Supporters of the KKK?

Colonel Sanders' was the man who invented KFC and he was an active member of the KKK. I can't remember where I heard it, but I heard that a percentage of their profits still go towards the KKK...does anyone know anything about this?

Sorry but that sounds absoloute bollocks to me lol.

Even if it was actually a big "possibly true" rumour itd have been investigated already, and since KFC is still here, its obviously untrue lol.

The KKK aren't an ilegal organisation though...it's just ilegal for them to be killing people and the like..but they can't ban a group if there isn't any evidence of them doing such things. They're like the mafia..they do really bad stuff to people, everyone knows they do but there's not really any hard evidence you can hold against them to put them behind bars.

I think that these are all rumors.
I mean, even if the Colonel was involved w/ the KKK.... is there really any evidence to suggest that KFC gives a % of their profits to this organ.??
And IF their was evidence (which I highly doubt) why would this organization go through with it? For their founder's sake? Doesn't sound plausible.

Well Colonal Sanders was an active member of the KKK..that's a fact..the question here is whether a percentage of their profits are still going towards the KKK..

And if KFC were doing so it wouldn't just be for their founder's sake. Colonal may have put it in the agreement before he died so they would have no choice but to continue to give the profits out...but I don't know

I have never heard of the Colonel being an active member of the KKK. That said it doesnt mean it isnt true.

As for KFC giving profits to the KKK? ARE YOU KIDDING? KFC is a multinational conglomerate owned by the Yum! Brands group who are the largest restaurant company in the world. They also own Pizza Hut.

Let me tell you something about an organisation that large. Money is always the bottom line, and publicity is key. There is no way on earth that KFC or Yum! is giving profits to the KKK. End of story.

IceBurn3000 hit the nail on the head. Not only is KFC a subsidiary of a huge multinational corperation (Yum! Brands Inc.), which owns A&W, KFC, Long John Silver's, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, but it is also a publically traded company on the NYSE. More importantly though, the company has, for the past two years, been recognized in BLACK ENTERPRISE Magazine as one of the “30 Best Companies for Diversity”, and in FORTUNE's top 50 “Best Companies for Minorities,” where it was also ranked #1 for “managerial diversity”, and was listed in the “Corporate 100 Companies Providing Opportunities for Hispanics” by HISPANIC MAGAZINE. So really, it would be hard to be any less racist. As such, they could never give money to the KKK without coming under fire from shareholders and without ruining their corperate image which has helped to stabalize their share prices. So whether or not its founder was a Klansman who gave to the swine is, at least now, utterly irrelevant.
