Most of you don't regularly use the Reputation System we have here, on Teen Forums. I've not even been using it very much, myself, until recently but I do plan on making it a more Important feature in the future.

You can give another Member Reputation points by simply Clicking the little Scales atop any post you have something to say about. You can also take away Rep points if you dislike a Post, making it a fairer game for us all.

    Example:

Reputation can be seen in a Members Posts, below their Location and Post Count.
I think it could become a very useful feature for helping new Members to know which Regular members to Trust more when asking for Help and Advice as well as just sort of making it quicker to Notice who's more easily approachable for Forum Tips and Help etc.

You can now give 1 Rep Point to a User by "Thanking" their post.

When I have used it, ive tended to want to give it to the same people because I feel they deserve it... but it brings up that message about having to spread rep around before giving them it again.. and then I dont know who to give it to, and forget all about it.. lol..

Will start using it more tho

I think thew whole gems thing needs working out. The reputation feature is used really prominently on another forum I use and there are a series of green, yellow and multicoloured gems for those with good reputation, the more "gems" they have, the more positive reputation they have. The more red gems, the more negative they have. I'm guessing this is also used on this forum but then nobody has enough reputation to get more of them, so maybe something could be done about that, it's really useful for distinguishing members.

Also, Gemma, it IS annoying when that message comes up, but then when you can rep someone multiple times it creates a sort of clique of reputation givers. Sad but true. It's best to save it for someone else, you've already accredited that person by giving them reputation the first time.

Oooh and as well as this, does this one work by reputation "power" or not? Like the more "good" reputation you have, the more reputation power someone gets from you.

Yeah, I'm not taking a closer look at the Reputation system to see if I can "tune it up" a little and make it better to use.
I take it by "Gems" you mean the little images on the right of every post.

You're not taking, or you are? Sorry I got a bit confused by that!

    And yeah, the little squares.
