FFVII: Advent Children to premiere in Japanese theaters

Square Enix reveals its upcoming DVD movie will hit Japanese cinemas before release on DVD.

CHIBA CITY, Japan--Square Enix announced today that its forthcoming computer-animated movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be hitting theaters in Japan before its release on DVD. The company revealed at its Square Enix Party that the movie will be making it premiere in Japan on September 8 and will then officially open in the country's theaters on September 10. The DVD and UMD release will follow four days later on September 14.
although the news was huge, it was only unveiled in the form of a few lines of text after the presentation of its FFVIIAC trailer. The company hasn't disclosed details on where Advent Children will be showing, and it seems possible that the movie might only be available in a limited selection of theaters.
This is the second major announcement regarding FFVIIAC that Square Enix has made during the month. The company also announced earlier that the movie will once again be shown as this year's 62nd Venice Film Festival, this time in its completed form

Everywhere else gets it august 16th.
We get it in september, though amazon say it wont be delivered to me till the 29th!, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRr ill be bak to college then an wont have as much time to play it.

We always get royally rammed with games, movies and the lot, were the damn uk!

you guys get screwed. ive had dungon siege on preorder the first day it went on preorder. ummm america doesnt get the DVD until setember 13th. (12th???) but they get it in theaters. America and Japan get the DVD's on the same day. and besides that doesnt mean there wont be bootleg copies. and i know a buddy of mine in japan that will Sub it for us... heh heh heh

Watched Advent Children just now and wow!

Its amazing if you have played the game and understand it all, my dad was like WTF but I had goosebumps! :O

I wont spoil what happens cause it really is amazing and worth watching!

its a wicked film the cgi is amazing, but i dnt get the story lol cos i not bin in2 final fantasy for long, im soo happy that it didnt turn out lyk the other ff movie^_^

i love subbed movies cos u can learn the other language whil you watch, and im also tryin 2 learn japanese @ the mo so it helps 2 watch japanese stuff ^_^

Yeah I would love to learn Japanese, I am sure there was a thread around here somewhere with a few decent translations in. Can't remember any of them though!

...i disagree with the learning of the language part. i know a little bit of Japanese but its about the same as my Spanish. I know how to get a punch thrown at me and how to get a beer. other than that its whats up and yo. but the grammar is completely wrong and the translation is only a gist of what is actually said. not to mention the suffixes like san oniichan oneechan and stuff like that is all sotra annoying but not translated. i'm sure that the true translated movie will be different dialogue wise but the story is mostly the same. (and come on Omnislash version 5 was the siht. (the thing that killed sephiroth)) oh yeah i have it i think i'll go watch it right now...
