    Default Pregnant at 63...

This is just plain wrong in my eyes.

They say they have thechilds best interests in mind but how can they? Soon they'll be too old to even care for the child properly. I really don't get some people they really need to know when to stop. By time child is 10 the mother will be 73, thats just wrong on the child imo 'cause it'll end up looking after them at that age!

Anyone else got any thoughts about this or think is it acceptable or just plain wrong...

i agree i think tht it's jst plain wrong! by the time it's a teenager, when it needs it's parents most she'll b like 80! i dn't think they ave gt the childs best interests in mind she jst wants a child and while i feel for her in tht way, bcos she must b desperate to have children it's jst plain wrong!

having a baby that age is also very risky both for the mother, but more so for the baby. The chances of mental illness and mental retardation, such as down syndrom, are much higher.

She is currently 7 months pregnant. I don't think she is being selfish and reckon that many people are just being far too judgemental of her. If she can provide the child with love, care and affection, and also has the ability to look after the child, then good luck to her! There are plenty of children out there who would love to be in a family where their parents actually wanted them. Even if the parents are to die in the next 20 years, the child can be assured that they were loved.

The thing is I highly doubt that the parents will be able to properly look after the child

    i think its pretty selfish.
She had her whole life to have as many kids as she wanted, and by having a baby at her age is risking a lot. Its not fair to risk having a child with down symdrom or some other mental retardation just because you have a sudden urge to have a baby. And its not like she's ever going to see it get married or have grandkids or any of that fun stuff.
And the kid is going to get made fun of like crazy

it's not fair on the kid at all. his/her parents will be too old to do anything with him/her and will be way older than all the other parents.

his/her parents will be dead soon, and he'll have to live with that a lot longer than normal kids. also his/her kids will have to deal without their grandparents for longer than normal.

    yeah all what everyone said.
i think its selfish as i said before about the whole grandparent thing.
the child may have serious mental problems or learning difficulties.
The parents will bring the child up as they did in the past, sorta different "fashions" to todays life.
The way i see it. They've had their chance to have kids, way too old now!

The child will grow up like an old person, Itl wear its trousers to high up, talk about the weather all day, complain about everything and comment on how fat or skinny people are. This can only be a bad thing.
