Default how to synchronize text to sound in flash

    1) Create a new layer and select 'import -> import to libary...' and choose the sound file that you wish to use

    2) Click the first frame of one of the layers and open the properties panel. From the 'sound' drop down, select your imported audio file.

    3) Select 'stream' from the sync drop down that is based in the properties panel.

    4) on the layer in which your sound file is based, right click further along the timeline and add some frames by right clicking and selecting 'insert frame'. The timeline will then change to a series of 'rise and falls', which
represents key events in your audio file. You can then add key frames on the other layers to coincide with these events, on these frames you could put the text that appears in the audio or file, or maybe an image, for example, say the audio file says 'box', a picture of a box could appear to coincide with that. You can also match them up by dragging the playhead (red thing) back and forth to listen to the audio track.

The below example shows the word 'hello' appearing to coincide with the word being spoken on the audio track.

I hope that this tutorial helps someone and is not too complex.
