Apocalypse Now at number 1!?!? That doesn't even deserve to be in the top 50, nevermind number 1!! Its just a borefest after the first hour (i like the beach landing bit and the line "I love the smell of napalm in the morning" but after that its just crap).
Where is Aliens (my favourite film ever) and where is The Green Mile on that list?!? The only film ever to make me have one of those "lump-in-throat" moments (not crying, i'm not a pussy, lol
). I'm glad that The Shawshank Redemption was fairly high on the list though (if you've never seen it, its on Film4 next monday at 9pm, brilliant film), and also that Manhunter got a mention, apart from missing Anthony Hopkins performance as Hannibal Lecter, Manhunter was far superior to Red Dragon in my opinion (Manhunter and Red Dragon are both based on Thomas Harris' first Lecter book, Red Dragon, incase you didn't know, plus Manhunter has got William Petersen who plays Grissom in CSI in it
).
To be honest though, this cant be a proper list, i bet its just a list of 50 films that Channel 4 has the rights to show, lol."Opinions are like Assholes...Everybody has one" - Dirty Harry
"Right here, right now, you are going to face justice. And make no mistake about this, this is personal. If you think for a second that I am scared to put a bullet in your brain, you don’t know me" - Jack Bauer
"It's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward" - Rocky Balboa

What do you mean Apocalypse Now doesn't deserve a spot? Sure it doesn't deserve numer one but it is definately one of the 50 greatest films of all time.
The list forgot all three films in the "Man With No Name" trilogy.
"The Searchers" also deserves a much higher spot.

The list isn't a rankings system.
It's 50 FILMS TO SEE BEFORE YOU DIE. Not '50 OF THE GREATEST FILMS EVER'. Just remember that before you post again. It'll save your blushes.

Hmm, well you could have fooled me, especially considering that each film is numbered 1-50 i.e. a 'Rankings System'...
