Toby Keith
I'm assuming that most people have heard of him (I could be wrong)
I enjoy his music. If there is any country singer that can be described as "patriotic" it's him. He is also an official member of the Vermont National Guard

Re: Toby Keith
Well, if you listen to country and never heard of him you must be sticking to the oldies country radio station, because he is a REALLY big name in country music, more after 9/11 than anything for Angry American.

Re: Toby Keith
I used to be addicted to country, now I've kinda got out of country and went to rap, hip-hop, rock, all of that. But...one country singer that I will always like music of is Toby Keith. He symbolizes us americans in my opinion. I used to know all da words to the "Courtesy of the Red, WHite, and BLue" and the song "Beer for the horses, Whiskey for my men".
Juss message me if you'd like ta get to know meh betta.

Re: Toby Keith
It's actually "Whiskey for my Men, Beer for my Horses"
I have nothing against you or anything, your choice is your choice, but I've always been annoyed about how rock always replaces country.
It's almost like people think you can only like one or the other.
I'll proudly admit that I like both "Should've been a Cowboy" by Toby Keith and "Livewire" by Motley Crue equally.
However, like I said. It is nothing against you personally.

Re: Toby Keith
Well Country was the first style of rock to be honest. Country was what picked up the tempo first and really started the rock genre.

Re: Toby Keith
Actually rock finds its roots in Blues music which is based upon old slave songs.
Slave songs are based upon Christian hymns.
Kind've ironic that the hymns that I sing in Church started the chain reaction for rock.
