Excercise is the main thing. You could eat all the food you want and still not be overweight as long as you excercise enough. (WIth an exception here or there.)
Yeah, but children.. If their parents bring them up and let them watch tv all day and eat loads of chocolate and do no exericse, then they won't see what's wrong with that until it's too late.
And taking them to the doctors is just an easy way out for the parent if you ask me..
Yeah, I blame the parents, and the way they are brought up! They need to be taught what's right and wrong and discipline. TV shouldn't be a necessity, it should be like a treat, or the playstation. Parents need to take them out and about and make sure they are eating healthily.
ITs also governments faults. they should make sure there are plenty of things for kids to do outdoors. I mean, theres feck all where i live unless i travel, and the only park near me, is a pile of crap, and on a rough estate...and everythings vandalised, and its all overgrown. plus its just some swings and stuff!
My sister lets my lil nephew eat, eat, eat literally ALL day, and i mean if she has biscuit he has one, if she has a massive choc bar, he'll have one himself, not a lil block a whole one! or worse a packet of crisps, they eat sh*t all day not breakie or lunch or dinner, just crap all day. I mean i admit i do have stuff like this but i try and do things to get moving and not just pile on the weight!
i think it is because now days there are more gaming systems such as xboxs, playstations etc. and more people have them. when i was little me & my sisters use to play chasy etc, but kids arnt doing that as much anymore. i dont think it has anything to do with the foods(well maybe a bit..), if they just got off their fat asses they would have a fast motablism! lol..(no offence to kids with obesity!)
the tablets or whatever will make a difference, but it is sad to think parents are willing to buy these for their kids & not encourage them to exercise and eat better.
yes, but some people hav bad metabolism rates which is of no fault of their own. I know 2 people who eat s&!t all day and do NO exercise but they are really skinny. One of them is actually quite well built. Well he looks it but as soon as they start running theyre out of breath in a couple of seconds. Im really broad shouldered and some say im fat (which im not) but i am a v fast runner and am really good at cross country etc even though i dont look it. I tend to surprise people and i love doing it its great. But i dont eat crap at all! its rare for me to eat sweets, apart from the cinema almost never! and i exercise a lot 2 i run, and weight lift if i get bored, i also swim, play rugby, football, tennis, squash, badminton and watever sports i can get to grips with!
