I need help on what to say to my mate...

Help me, one of my best mates has just got engaged. Problem is, she's still only 16 and has been seeing her boyfriend for like 3 months! How can i tell her she is making a huge mistake without her getting mad with me? I dont want her to throw her life away but i dont wanna lose her as a friend either.

Argh...now this is a conundrum.
Just ask her if she really wants to go through with this. Tell her of all the things she may miss when shes married, and its a big mistake if something ends up going wrong. Just tell her in the nicest way possible, make sure she wont get mad at you by telling her you are saying it for her sake.
If she gets mad at you, make sure she forgives you and understands you just care a lot about her. Its either maybe just a few weeks of her being mad, or her throwing her life away.

my mate has done the exact same thing...wierd lol.
Just leave it, start asking questions when she actually plans the date and stuff. Now all shes doin is walkin round with a ring. Just drop hints n say like wait a few years, she doesnt even have to get un-engaged!

well if she's only 16 do you think it is going to last? there r a heap of girls from my school who get engadged then like a month later they break up with there boyfriend. dont try & tell her to not get married but just tell her the bad side of getting married so young & she's still got her whole life to live etc. and tell her alot of younge marriages usually end up in divorce & i'm sure she doesn't want that.

A girl who I know of has a boyfriend who is going into the army, and he's asked her to get engaged to him. They've only been goign out a short while and she's only 14 =\ But I think she's scared to say no incase he hits her. That's bad.

But yeah, explain to her the bad side of marriage and stuff and hopes she sees sense. If you tell her straight she ight be offended or something? I dunno. It depends whether she's a sensitive person.
