    Default Premiership

Is it just me or is the premiership getting worse and worse. With attendances dropping dramatically, Games getting considerbally boringer and the Tittle seemingly already over could it get worse. Watching a premiership game just ins'nt the same any more. Its not played at anywere near the pace it used to be played at and with the game stopping every minute because some bloody puff has chucked him sen on floor and is rolling around like a pansy the games are usually stop start tight and boring. I blame the refs a little, nowadays every decent tackle is a foul. They need to chill out a little. Let the game get a bit more aggresive and let the game flow. When Roman Abromavich bought chelsea i thought it was a good thing for the premiership. How wrong I was. Everybody knows chelsea will win the league this year. There team is absolutely incredible and If they dont look like winning the league at January jose can always buy a couple of multi milion stars. I never thought Id say this but, the league would be better without chelsea, man u, arsenal and liverpool so we could go back into the day when honest teams like Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest could win the league.

Because a lot of teams are u-ambitious and are happy to defend and play for just a point. They play 4-5-1 now most of em do. Teams are just happy to stay up instead of pushing for mid-table, Europe or even winning it.

that is right plus the fact it can only possibly be 1 of 3 teams 2 win the league...which will bcum 1 in years 2 cum at this rate in chelsea

So you'd be willing to pay £50 a ticket? Football is better in the lowe leagues, so is the atmosphere & so are the games. Lower leagues on the up! Premiership is really fucked up!

£50 a ticket? Don't think so. You'll find that it's only at price at Chelsea and Newcastle. All others are mostly below £35. Anyway, I have a season ticket. It's not about the money. It's about wanting your club to do well. To say you'd rather be in the lower leagues than the Premiership is ridiculous.

Man Utd ticket prices are actually quite reasonable. A childs ticket in some places is only £12. Check on their website, I was amazed!

yer in some parts of stamford bridge a season ticket is £1000. No1 can say they'd rather be in the championship than the premiership, so, if wednesday went up this year you'd be gutted?!

Yeh they can reach that much depending on where u get hold of them. Season tickets are so hard to get hold of for big clubs because people on the waiting list eventually die and nobody gets in touch with the club to say a person has died, therefore, the season tickets gets sent to them. Which is then a waste of a season ticket because its gone to a dead person.

Only problems with going up to the Prem is that :
a.) The games get shit and really its a three-horse-race.
b.) Most teams that go up, go down the following season.
c.) It costs a bomb to travel to away games.

I think the refs have something to do with it, there really petty nowadays, and give free kicks for basically nothing, slowing the game down all the time.

Found this in the new FFT should clear up argument,

    Arsenals £54 - £30
    Aston Villa £31 - £17
    Birmingham £45 - £20
    Blackburn £38 - £15
    Bolton £39 - £21
    Charlton £35 - £20
    Chelsea £60 - £35
    Everton £34 - £26
    Fulham £49 - £28
    Liverpool £32 - £28
    Man City £31 - £26
    Man Utd £41 - £26
    Middlesbrough £40 - £24
    Newcastle £37 - £21
    Portsmouth £39 - £26
    Sunderland £30 - £20
    Tottenham £70 - £26
    West Brom £49 - £25
    West Ham £53 - £30
    Wigan £25 - £17

and prices have changed quite abit since the 1989-90 season
    Average 1989-90 prices:
    Arsenals £6.71
    Aston Villa £5.39
    Birmingham £3.23
    Blackburn £3.64
    Bolton £3.10
    Charlton £4.86
    Chelsea £7.30
    Everton £4.79
    Fulham £4.19
    Liverpool 5.41
    Man City £3.94
    Man Utd £4.71
    Middlesbrough £4.48
    Newcastle £4.50
    Portsmouth £4.29
    Sunderland £4.08
    Tottenham £6.55
    West Brom £4.68
    West Ham £6.15
    Wigan £3.14

plus inflation thats about £3- £5 more, my opinion Premier League prices are disgusting, with the average crowd age at 39 its not hard to see why crowds are getting older and less kids are taking intrest in football, plus most kids tickets are for under 16s should really be for all students who proberly wont be able to afford to buy an adults ticket
